So for those of us who don't live in Utah, the holidays aren't "moved" if they fall on a Sunday, so we celebrated the 4th, on the 3rd! We had a neighborhood bike and stroller parade, games, a BBQ and a "cul-de-sac of fire" (in honor of Stadium of Fire)! Thanks to all those who have fought, or are still fighting for the freedoms of this great nation.
We took several family pictures, but this was as good as it got!
These are my new sporty shoes that dad bought me to match his (see last years post)!
Action shot of Cade throwing a water balloon.
Action shot of Mom catching a water balloon (Brett's in the background). We did pretty well!
Happy with a ball in his hands.
Trying to scale the slide.
Unhappy if things don't go his way.
Dad helping with lasso golf balls.
Happy to have Grandma sitting with us during the "scary" fireworks!
Happy Independence Day!
We are sad we missed the 2nd annual Shari 4th of July and it looks like we may miss the 3rd, 4th, and 5th as well. It looks like you had more fun than us, we learned the 4th is not as fun without family and sitting on a couch indoors. Also, we need to get a picture of Kent and Cade in their 4th outfits when we get home. That is if Kent has not stained his by the time we get there, bibs don't cover much these days. We love you and we love your blog updates. See you soon!
ReplyDeleteLance and I agree...the fourth of July is not as fun without family :-( Can't wait to see everyone again!! Yay for Sunday dinners!!
