Going Hunting

Happy Easter everyone! Cade had his fill of Easter Egg Hunts this year, and by the last one, he was starting to get the hang of it! Brett and I had fun attending all the events as well, and hope we have the energy to keep up the tradition!

Having fun at the church primary activity!

I couldn't get any action shots because he was throwing so fast!

Trying his hand at "bunny bowling" (the pins had ears glued to them!)

His first face painting. He was quite thrilled with the basketball that was on
his cheek for the rest of the night!

Saying cheese with Slinky the Clown
(He had more fun watching him and all the other kids than actually picking up eggs!
Luckily, Slinky gave him two so that he at least walked away with three!)

Showing dad his sticker that Slinky gave him

Another bunny photo shoot

His third hunt in Grandma and Grandpa Udy's yard with the neighbor kids
(I love his face in this one!)

Looking at his loot with Dad, through the video camera

Checking every inch of grass in case any were missed

Sunday Best
(Thank you grandma Poll!)

Too Fast

As we were coming out of swimming lessons, Cade was "running fast" as he likes to tell us, and tripped. As you can see, he got his first little knee scrape. He was pretty brave - no tears, he just kept saying, "Hurt. Hurt." We only live a couple blocks from the pool, so after driving home and taking a bath...

...he was as happy as the sticker on his band-aid!

(He gets a round, character band-aid on his leg after getting shots at the doctor's office, and calls them stickers. I didn't have any "fun" band-aids so he got an actual sticker on top. He wanted his pants rolled up for most of the day so he could check it. I think he'll be a pretty tough guy!)

What Goes Up...

...doesn't always come down!

Cade is becoming quite skilled at making baskets in his 5 FOOT HOOP! He wanted it higher, but it only goes to 6 feet, which we thought would buy us some time as he grew up! Anyway, the other day he was playing and I turned around to find this! I honestly don't know if I could have got them all to stay up there like he did!
