Family Comes to Town

Back in May, we had family come to town. As always, there was lots of fun to be had, and we hope they can come back soon!
Happy Birthday Grandma Larsen!

Enjoying every bite of Grandma Larsen's cinnamon rolls!

Play-dough fun

Dad and Uncle Lance were successfully getting Cade addicted to video games

Grandma was nice enough to entertain McCall with one of her  favorite pass-times

Brett's cousin Dallin came home from his mission. Welcome home Dallin!

A little four-wheeling on a friend-of-the-family farm

Happy to be in a helmet
He wears it for all things fun - four-wheeling, bike riding, even baseball!

Playing at the park with cousins

Weeee!

Cute

Little climber

Just monkeying around

Cheese!

These two have had a long time infatuation with belly buttons

Trying to earn "favorite aunt" status ;)

Telling little boy stories

Every once in a while, I have proof that I was there!

A little conversation with grandma

It took A LOT of coaching to get Cade through the spider web...

…Dad crossed them first...

…then Cade finally made it!

The kids sported their best 'staches with Grandpa
(Kent got them for his birthday)

Kent's not a cake fan, so he got chocolate-dipped Rice Krispy treats instead.
Happy Birthday little buddy!

Look Who Turned Two!

McCall had her second birthday and thanks to her dad, her first mani-pedi too! What a nice dad!

Getting "sprinkles" put on her nails, as she called them
Mom wanted to be part of the action too
Cade was, of course, being a nice big brother by "helping" McCall open her presents
She got the hang of it pretty quick

 Pure joy
What girl doesn't love a new dress
Between Mom and Dad, and Grandparents, this is one spoiled little girl
Blowing out the candles
I think her first bight was her last. I guess she's just an ice cream girl!
Her root-beer float cupcakes
Celebrating with friends
On her second bowl of ice cream
part of the spread
(I didn't get pictures of the rest before it was gone - popcorn and root beer floats. )
Happy Birthday Silly Sister Face! (In the words of her dad!)
We love you!

Willkommen to Leavenworth!

Ahhh… a weekend away. Yep, we did it, and without the kids!
Yes, we love them too, but I love them even more after having a little time to recharge.
 (Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Udy!)
We'd heard lots of good things about Leavenworth (a town built to resemble Bavarian cities),
and found out for ourselves that it's a fantastic place! We can't wait to go back, and yes, we'll take the kids next time!

A street shot

Famous sign as you enter town

Delicious breakfast every morning.
(I could have gotten used to that)

A little music from the alpine horn on Sunday morning

The bed and breakfast where we stayed - amazing!
(If you think you're looking at something out of Switzerland, you're almost right. We were lucky enough to visit both Germany and Switzerland in 2007 and this place is definitely the next best thing.)
A scene from our drive up the canyon

Another tasty breakfast of aebelskievers!
(Brett's become quite the little chef recreating them!
He'll make them for anyone who wants to come visit!)

Feeding the chickens
(Is that the cutest coop you've ever seen? The one on the right was even cuter!
All the meals were made with their fresh eggs -yum!)

Another shot in front of the B&B
Can't wait to go back!
