The Rest of Christmas Break

The picture below is a summery of our break as a whole - go, go, go (sorry it's such a long post)! We had lots of fun and slept very well every night!

Very tired, but not tired enough to let go of his "bassetball!"

Dinner with the whole family.

Sporting a 'silly hat.'
(You probably can't see that his bib is sopping with the former contents.)

Grandpa, Aunt Lindsay, Mom, Dad and Cade at Discovery Gate Way.
Cade loved it, and we loved having somewhere fun to take him!

Giddy-up!

Making himself at home in the little play house.

A convenient door, just his size.

Brett having a little fun as well.

Getting some practice behind the wheel.

Grandpa and Lindsay helped Cade make a 'Waffle House.'

Getting a little practice behind the cyclic (stick) of a helicopter-
he may give you a run for your money Dad!

Trying out Lindsay's cup of tea behind the news desk!

Playing some tunes with Grandpa.

This was the first attraction we came to
(a huge maze of tubing that the balls wound through),
he could have spent the whole day there!

Completely content at the Jazz game.

Riding the FrontRunner to the game.

Cambria and Kevin

Mom and Dad

Jaque, Dani, Lindsay, Dan, and Cade
It was sure a fun trip and fun to spend time with everyone!

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

This year Brett and I really wanted to give our parents something special for Christmas. We put a lot of thought, time, and effort into coming up with something that they could really enjoy for more than just a few months into the new year. We could hardly wait for them to open their presents, and were tempted several times to give it to them early, but held out until we were all together as a family (each celebrated on different days, but only four days apart). We like the present so much, that we wanted to share it with all of you, but you'll have to wait just a little longer! Stay tuned for a picture of our gift that keeps on giving!

Pieces of Christmas

Here's a few "pieces" of our Christmas. We took more video than still shots, so you'll have to use your imagination to fill in the gaps! We had a wonderful time with all our family, in both states, and hope to get back together soon!

Cade and his favorite cousin Kent!
(This was the best shot I could get!)

So many toys, and yet their favorite thing was putting
Matchbox cars in a soda can box!

It's hard to see, but this was Cade's "big" present-
a basketball hoop (or basset-ball, as Cade says it)!

And even after getting even more toys at Grandma and Grandpa Poll's,
this hand-me-down hoop was his favorite. Go figure!
(Although the ball he is holding was new!)

All my cousins on one side, minus one. We still have a blast when we get together!

Sunset snowmobile ride.

Helping grandpa with his signature barbecued bacon!

Family pic at the cabin.
Sure was fun!
