Remembered Another One...

At the beginning of the summer, Brett had mowed the lawn and after Cade saw it he said, "Oh no!" I asked him what was wrong. He said, "Look!" I said, "I know, Dad mowed the grass."He said, "We have to put it back!"

Cade's Thoughts

I was just putting Cade to bed and had turned out the lights in his room, when Brett got home and came upstairs without making a peep. When he emerged from the dark, I said, "You scared the living day-lights out of us!" Cade then responded, "Dad, why you scared all the lights off?"
Funny how we think children are always saying things that don't make any sense - maybe they get it from us!

We just recently visited Grandma and Grandpa in Utah. Cade not only gets plenty spoiled, but plenty of attention as well. One morning Cade noticed the bathroom scale and asked my mom to stand on it. After the dial stopped he said, "Wow! That's a lot of money!"

Summer has been slow in coming where we live, but every once in a while we get a sneak peak of it. Here are a few pictures of our activities, outside and in.

Look closely at the wording on the swing… very appropriate for McCall.

Learning to "be big" on the playground.

Trying out a camping chair that's just her size.

A perfect night for hotdogs and s'mores around the fire pit.

If only we all looked so cute in a swimsuit- even with little fat rolls!

Let's hope these two love books just as much even after they start school!

A little Cougar baseball with Grandma and Grandpa.

Mom on the other side of the camera with McCall.

Have you ever seen a mustache look so cute?

All in a Day's Work

Here's proof that we're still alive, and that I document a few things every once in a while! Here's what our days consist of…

Getting stuck and unstuck from random places.

Make messes, over and over, and...

An occasional haircut.
(I don't recommend the sucker being part of the equation, being sticky and all.)

Tease your sister that you're outside and she is not.

And of course, bath time.
(Incase they blend in with the whiteness of the tub, there are two little kids in there. Sorry you got my genes kids.)

Easter Festivities

Easter seemed to come and go so quickly! At least we got some pictures of it!

A family picture the day before Easter (in case of inclement weather)!

Yes, Cade still puts his hands in his mouth when he's nervous,
and McCall was as unsure about the bunny as she was Santa. At least no one was crying!

We went to the Easter egg hunt at the church, but as you can see here, Cade likes to look in each egg after he picks it up, so he only got two eggs, and we didn't get any pictures. This is the hunt at grandma and grandpa's that Brett promised him after he cried all the way back to the car, "All the other kids took the eggs!"

Grandpa helping in the big search.

Grandma and McCall content to observe.

Grandma and Grandpa's Easter presents to the kids - Hot Dog!

Nothing better than a football egg on Easter morning!

She thought she struck gold when she found this just at her height.

Cade had been telling everyone that the Easter Bunny would bring him a new helmet - I'm sure glad he got the memo!

Not sure what to do with the basket, but happy to have it anyway!

Easter Sunday, or in Pullman, Easter Cloud-day.

At least one of them was smiling!

Trying to keep herself entertained while Mom made funny faces and sounds and held a camera to her face.

Ta-da!
Dying eggs with Lance and Robin

A happy pair!

This is where we contained McCall for a bit while we colored eggs.

Go Cougs!

A couple months ago, Kent and Addy came to visit, and we took the opportunity to take pictures on center court in matching outfits. I think they turned out well considering there were four kids under the age of 3! They each have their own personality, so I'm going to let the pictures say 1000 words!

From the Mouths of Babes

Yesterday in primary, the teacher was talking about the upcoming General Conference and how the prophet was going to speak to us. To paraphrase, he asked, "Why is it so important?" A little girl raised her hand and said, "Because it''s Jesus' greatest telephone."
