Cade's Birthday

Happy 3rd Birthday Cade! Our lives have changed a lot in these last 3 years and look forward to many more! Grandpa Poll were able to come for the festivities and our big outing while they were here was bowling. Cade's never been and he loved every minute of it!

Grandma helping Cade
(she was very nice to let him take all of her turns in addition to his own!)
This picture gives a good depiction of all that was going on-
Cade bowling, McCall squealing, grandma taking pictures, and everyone taking a turn holding McCall so the others could bowl. Good times.)

Not McCall's best pose, but a good shot of her busy little tongue!

Group effort

Happy to hold- happy to be held!

Cade was quite determined to carry his own ball, and he did!

Taking a turn with Mom.

Fireman in training.

Pizza with the family.
(McCall couldn't help but steal some attention from Cade.
I'm sure that won't be the last time!)
Cade just started Swimming lessons again and he's been asking for  "swimming glasses" for weeks.
Luckily I bought these the end of last season - he loves 'em!
He's also sporting his new Jazz jersey from Uncle Jaque and Aunt Danni.
Thank you!
He's definitely got the hang of opening presents!

Also a great investment - Cars bath bubbles!
They look almost exactly like the toys that cost  $21.00 a piece, but cost less than $5.00!
This picture also shows Lance and Robin video chatting in the background. Even though all the aunts and uncles live far away, Cade's pretty lucky to have seen and/or talked to all of them on his birthday! Love you all!

His "Cars" cake that I was pretty proud of for being an amateur!
(Thanks for your help Mom!)

He was pretty excited about it and that's what makes it all worth it!

Licking each car...

…and dipping his finger in the side a time or two.

Dad joining in the fun.

We decided to spare the jersey.

Yum!
(Everyone's piece escaped the finger poke, except for Grandma Udy. Sorry!)

Ahh, to be a kid again!

Sunday Best - Poses Worst

I had a few extra minutes before church a couple weeks ago and thought I'd get a 'Sunday Best' shot. Instead, I got a lot of not-so-great poses. I thought I'd at least post my efforts and hopefully put a smile on your face!

Spaced face. Mad face.
Not interested.

McCall showing Cade who's boss.
Then making him leave the premises.

The 'flap your arms as fast as you can' pose.

Cade's famous 'I love you so much' face.

The 'take this silly thing off my head' shot.

Finally had it. Resigned her hair accessory to a necklace.

Also had it. Decided he needed to button all of his suit coat buttons in stead of look at the camera.

I guess this one will have to do!

Christmas

Christmas was lots of fun and Santa became a little more real this year! Our festivities were spread out a little bit since our families don't live near each other, but that seems to make the holidays last a little longer and who doesn't love that? Most of these pictures are from our time spent in St. George where Brett's Grandma and Grandpa live. All of his siblings and spouses were able to come for all or part of the week and it was so fun being with everyone, even if it was a little loud and chaotic at times (mostly due to the four children under 3)! Hope the new year brings many joys to each of you!

Cade, Kent, and McCall sharing the iPad
(a favorite for the boys, but McCall seems to be picking it up quicker than expected!)

All snuggled up for a movie!

Believe it or not, this was one of the better pictures of the four cousins! Kent did a fantastic job of holding McCall's head so she didn't fall face forward (Kent has learned from experience, safety first!)

I had to take a picture of how Cade had arranged his nativity set.
Each figurine was almost always lined up, facing baby Jesus. Couldn't help but to find it cute.

Who knows, maybe this is how it really happened.

Like father, like son.

Love this picture! McCall sat like this, staring at Santa, for about 2 minutes. He was very accommodating while I snapped picture after picture. Even Santa's helpers were chuckling!

One thing I forgot to pack - a hat for Cade. Grandma Larsen pulled through with this one.
Only a two year old can make it look adorable! He was pretty excited to see Santa, even though he has no idea that you're supposed to tell him what you'd like for Christmas. He must think Santa is for picture-taking only!

Our two little elves.

Grandma and the boys waiting for the popcorn to pop (and eyeing the gingerbread house, covered in candy)!

McCall's first time swimming. If only we all looked so cute in a swimsuit!

McCall thought she was royalty sleeping on Grandma Larsen's King-sized bed.

Grandpa sandwich!

The whole crew

Addi had an extra special Christmas since she was able to be blessed that day. What an angel!

Cade could hardly keep up with the unwrapping. He wanted to play with everything he got!

Reading "If You Give a Dog a Donut." Love those books.

McCall got some new books as well. She couldn't be happier now that she has girl toys to play with!

One of our many gifts this year.

Best friends

Aunt Robin just couldn't resist wrapping one more box!

A common position for Kent.

A common position for Cade.
Both boys carried around their Mickey Mouse like it was their left arm!
We are all so spoiled and can't thank our families enough for their generosity! Love you!
